Turin Institute for the Deaf (Fondazione Istituto dei Sordi di Torino)
The Institute for the Deaf of Turin is a non-profit foundation founded in 1814 for the education of deaf children and the training of their teachers. Today, the Institute is made up of six departments among which we want to mention the territorial education service that deals with deaf people from kindergarten to university, the department of communication and research at European and international level, the Academy department for the promotion of sign languages and the support of accessibility in all contexts of life.
